Reinforcing WEG’s role in driving smarter, more efficient pump technologies across Europe ~
WEG, the global manufacturer of motors and drives, has been confirmed as an official sponsor of the 2026 Europump Annual Meeting, organised by the European Federation of Pump Associations. Taking place at the Steigenberger Icon Hotel Frankfurter Hof in Frankfurt, Germany from 27-29 May, the annual event serves as one of the pump industry’s key forums for collaboration.
The 2026 event is hosted by the VDMA Pumps + Systems Association and is supported by a key group of sponsors. As silver sponsor, WEG will be supporting both the annual meeting and Europump’s wider programme of activities throughout the year.
The annual meeting brings together manufacturers, suppliers and industry experts from across Europe to address the challenges shaping the sector. With a comprehensive programme of workshops, speaker sessions and social events, attendees can explore themes including how the pump industry enables the circular economy and the key challenges presently facing European pump and compressor manufacturers.
Addressing these challenges requires a combination of technical innovation, process optimisation and closer collaboration across the value chain, without compromising on the quality and precision European engineering is known for. The Europump Annual Meeting supports this by creating a platform for cross-industry conversations, bringing stakeholders together to share perspectives and explore practical responses.

The meeting will also feature a series of keynote sessions. These include a session on fair competition and global market dynamics, with contributions from Edda Wolf, head of raw materials at Germany Trade & Invest and Oliver Wack, area manager for East and South Asia at VDMA’s Foreign Trade Department, as well as a keynote from Innomotics.
WEG will also contribute to the programme, with Martin Brand, drives and controls engineering director, delivering a keynote presentation on the role of variable frequency drives as edge devices.
