Avery Weigh-Tronix has produced a white paper exploring weighing technology. It focuses on the development of the weigh-bar, which it claims is up to ten times more reliable than loadcells.First developed in the 1960s, the weighbar is an all-electronic strain gauge weight sensor designed to measure the applied load accurately without the lproblems associated with other technology. It produces reliable and repeatable readings, while its weatherproof and shockproof design allows it to withstand environmental challenges.
