Werum's PAS-X replaces legacy system at contract manufacturer's site in Belgium and becomes leading Manufacturing IT systemLueneburg, Germany, March 2013 - The pharmaceutical contract manufacturer Sanico N. V. has decided in favor of Werum's PAS-X, the internationally leading Manufacturing IT Business Platform for the pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical industries.
At Sanico's site in Turnhout, Belgium, PAS-X will replace the existing third party manufacturing execution system (MES) and the warehouse management system offering a broader range of functions. Werum's PAS-X will guide and control the pharmaceuticals production as the leading system.
For Sanico, the available functionality and the overall investment costs were critical decision factors. Implementing the PAS-X product enables a fast and cost efficient deployment of a state-of-the-art MES fully integrated with the already existing SAP and LIMS systems.
"The main objective of the project is to renew the software architecture on the production level by using an off-the-shelf product," says Herman Geudens, Plant Manager at Sanico N. V. "For this purpose we have chosen PAS-X in order to benefit from the extensive standard functions and the best-practice expertise Werum offers in the pharmaceutical industry."
