World machinery announces official opening of new showroom and engineering works

Laser machine specialist World Machinery Ltd. has announced the official opening of its new midlands showroom, HQ and Showrooms based between Kidderminster & Bridgnorth in Shropshire. Having recently used the new 13,000 sq. ft. site to showcase Mitsubishi Electric's latest 2D Laser Processing System, the new premises are now open for business providing a demonstration area, engineering works, software demonstration and conference facility.Commenting on the opening of the facility for general business World machinery MD Wayne Hipkiss states, 'We have been in the laser machine business since the first commercial sheet cutting machines became widely used in the late 70's and early 80's, so we have seen the technology develop. Many of the early machines we serviced and sold as new, used and reconditioned units are still in operation today in different parts of the world.'
'It is reassuring to our customers to know that the business has expanded steadily and grown organically over the years, our installation and service technicians are some the most experienced in the industry and since we deal with all major laser machine brands on a daily basis we offer a practical approach to laser machine sales and specification without bias; if a used machine suits an application better than a new machine, or a particular design suits a particular application then that's what we will recommend and supply.'
The big changes with the newer machines have come in the improved finish of parts and profiles, cutting accuracy and speed of processing has also increased dramatically. The new Mitsubishi ML3015LVP-45CF-R we currently have in the demonstration area for example incorporates some of the very latest breakthroughs in gas-discharge laser design, combined with the latest control technology using a high-speed drive system, increasing the machine's precision and throughput considerably.
The other major factor with the Mitsubishi machines in particular is the reduced running costs; it is up to 30% cheaper to run this machine than an equivalent power machine from another manufacturer, and of course because the technology is proven we are expecting them to be far more reliable than the latest generation of fibre optic machines, substantially cheaper too buy too.
Rated at 4.5kW, the new machine is more powerful than its contemporaries but exhibits lower running costs, thanks to its innovative cross-flow laser head and its gas-sealed resonator, which requires a third less CO2. Its fast discharge system also dramatically reduces power consumption while the beam is off.
