Xylem expands support for critical water infrastructure with new Toronto hub

Xylem has opened a new 87,000-square-foot Flygt distribution, service and training hub in Toronto, expanding local capacity to support municipal and industrial water customers across Canada.

More than four times the size of Xylem’s previous Toronto facility, the hub increases storage capacity by 350% and will distribute more than 100,000 Flygt pumps, parts and products annually. Greater inventory and repair capacity in Canada will give customers faster access to critical equipment and service, helping reduce downtime and keep essential operations running.

The expansion follows seven years of steady growth for Flygt in Canada and strengthens support for customers managing aging water and wastewater infrastructure, stormwater needs and industrial operations. A dedicated Xylem Academy will also serve as a hub for learning and collaboration, providing comprehensive education programs and hands-on technical and application training, helping customers, channel partners and employees build skills, adopt new technologies and apply industry best practices.

“Canada has been an important part of Xylem’s story since the first Flygt facility in the Americas opened here 71 years ago,” said Hayati Yarkadas, Executive Vice President and President, Water Infrastructure, Xylem. “This new hub builds on those roots by bringing service, distribution, training and expertise together in one location. It brings us closer to our customers, helping them respond faster, reduce downtime and keep critical operations running.”
