Yokogawa: Appointment of President and Chairman effective April 1st

Yokogawa Electric Corporation has appointed Hitoshi Nara, a company director and executive vice president, and head of the Life Innovation Business Headquarters, to the position of representative director and president. And has appointed Takashi Nishijima, representative director and president, as representative director and chairman.

This transfer of responsibilities, which will take effect on April 1st, and is being undertaken to rejuvenate the company's management structure and accelerate efforts to achieve growth, thereby supporting achievement of Transformation 2020, the company's mid-term business plan.

Mr. Nara was born on January 23, 1963. He joined Yokogawa in April 1985 and went on to hold a series of senior sales positions in the control business. In April 2012, he was appointed to the position of director of Yokogawa Electric Corporation, and from April 2013 to March 2018 served as president of Yokogawa Solution Service Corporation. In April 2018, he was appointed to his current positions of director, executive vice president, and head of the newly established Life Innovation Business Headquarters.
