Yokogawa Appoints New Managing Director

Yokogawa United Kingdom Ltd is pleased to announce the appointment of Carl Ramsden as Managing Director for its UK operations, succeeding Nigel Bowden who has become Executive Director for New Business Development in Yokogawa Europe.Carl holds a BSc degree in Economics and is a Chartered Accountant. He has held the role of Finance Director for Yokogawa UK Ltd since July 2011, and has successfully managed operational, sales and support functions during his time in the business.
Following his training as a Chartered Accountant Carl subsequently worked for Thames Water and later BASF, where he held a number of senior positions.
In his new role, Carl will implement Yokogawa's mid-term business plan 'Transformation 2020', which helps to improve productivity, efficiency and create value for customers through innovation and digital transformation.
"I am delighted to take on the role of Managing Director," said Carl. "My thanks go to Nigel Bowden for his mentoring and support, and for leaving the UK business in great shape; we have a highly motivated and experienced team in the UK and Ireland, and have a strong and loyal customer base. We will continue to support our existing customers, as well as attract new customers as they seek to address the common issues faced by the sectors we serve such as digitalisation, energy reduction, optimisation, an aging workforce and improving safety.
