ystral presents innovative powder induction and dispersing technology at the American Coatings Show
30/04/2026 ystral gmbh maschinenbau + processtechnik
Process engineering specialist ystral will be presenting its high-shear vacuum expansion solutions for the paint and coatings industry at ACS 2026. The premier event for professionals across the paints and coatings value chain will take place from May 5-7, 2026, at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis, Indiana.
ystral designs, engineers and manufactures mixing, dispersing and powder induction machines as well as process systems that are used worldwide in the paint and coatings industries. At the American Coatings Show (booth #2568), the company will present its innovative high-shear vacuum expansion technology for powder dispersion. "This technology delivers excellent dispersion quality while offering proven reductions in production time, costs, raw material usage, energy consumption, labor, and floor space," says Dr. Hans-Joachim Jacob, Senior Expert Process and Applications at ystral. “In the production of colorants and tinting pastes, the need for subsequent bead milling can be eliminated or significantly reduced. Moreover, the system provides maximum flexibility and adaptability across batch sizes, product types, and formulations.”
Presentation at the American Coatings Conference
On May 7 at 11:00 a.m. ET, Hans-Joachim Jacob will present at the American Coatings Conference on “Vacuum Expansion as a Booster for Inline Dispersion Performance”. He will explain ystral’s innovative high-shear vacuum expansion technology in detail and show how it enables significantly finer dispersions and substantial quality improvements. “Compared with traditional high-speed dissolvers and bead mills, ystral’s Conti-TDS technology is based on a fundamentally different principle for dispersing powder particles such as pigments, fillers, extenders, and thickeners. Vacuum expansion separates and singularizes the particles as the powders are drawn into the liquid at an increasing velocity directly before they enter the high-shear inline dispersion zone”, says Jacob. "We look forward to connecting with process engineers and production managers at ACS to discuss practical ways our technologies can support their processes.”
