Zettlex ramps up production to meet demand from the USA

Sensors specialist Zettlex Ltd is ramping up UK production in order to meet increased demand for its position and speed sensors from the USA.

In the last 12 months, orders from Zettlex's US distributor Everight Position Technologies Corporation (www.evrpt.com) have risen by 400 per cent, with particularly high demand from three industry sectors: defence, oil & gas, and surgical products.

Based in Narberth, Pennsylvania, Everight Position Technologies provides a wide range of non-contact sensor technologies for applications in the defence, aerospace, petrochemicals and general industrial sectors.

Mark Howard, Zettlex General Manager comments: "We are seeing a lot of interest from US companies in our IncOder range. The USA is the world's biggest market for position sensors and we are delighted that we and Everight are enjoying such a positive response from the North American market."

The IncOder is a non-contact, high precision absolute angle encoder, designed and manufactured by Zettlex. The measurement performance of the device is unaffected by humidity, moisture, condensation or dust and so is ideal for use in harsh environments where electrical contacts, optical encoders or capacitive devices may be unreliable.
