Durable and ergonomic multi-function footswitches:

Herga 6241 puck switches now available with new heavy-duty multi-pedal baseHerga Technology, the leading UK designer and manufacturer of footswitches, hand controls and sensing solutions has released a new heavy-duty multi-pedal footswitch base for its well proven 6241 series electrical puck switch range.

The powder coated mild steel base has provision in this design for up to 12 individual 6241 switches which are fully protected by a moulded thermoplastic cover. The new design follows a development programme with hospital bed and procedure chair manufacturer that required a much more durable floor control solution than its previous supplier. 6241 puck-type switches are typically available with SPST contacts up to 24 V DC at 50 mA and have a low operating force of less than 10 N for maximum user comfort. For medical device and medical support equipment applications UL & IEC 60601 standards approval is available and the overall base can be supplied with an IPX8 environmental rating. Thanks to Herga's custom design capability, the number and positioning of the individual switches and the base dimensions can be matched to customer's requirements with colour, screen print graphics and logos optionally available.

The 6241 puck switch is available individually or as part of other multi-function switching ranges.
