Eaton Helps Visitors to ONS 2014 De-risk by Design
16/07/2014 Eaton Electric Sales Ltd
Power management company Eaton will explore at ONS 2014 how oil and gas operators can maximise their refining operations and master the heavy power capabilities and safety systems required for uninterrupted operations in the harshest environments. With over 100 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, Eaton understands the challenges operators are facing as the demand for oil and gas pushes them towards exploration in even more demanding and inhospitable environments. Visitors to Eaton's stand (Booth 264) will be able to discuss these issues with a supplier that has the experience to optimise performance and increase operational reliability, enabling them to minimize risk to both people and profit.According to the International Energy Agency, the global oil market will undergo sweeping changes over the next five years. IEA Executive Director Maria van der Hoeven has also predicted that technology and high prices will unlock new supplies of oil and gas that were previously thought to be out of reach. "Eaton can provide the innovative technology that will be needed to address these changes," Jon Helsingeng, Managing Director for Eaton in Norway explains. "As well as energy efficient solutions that enable reliable and efficient use of electrical, fluid and mechanical power, we can also deliver customised electrical, hydraulic and filtration solutions designed for tougher recovery and changing refining conditions. Our project management for design, retrofitting, construction and maintenance helps optimise investment while increasing efficiency and reducing risk."
Eaton's range of products covers the entire value stream from exploration and production through distribution up to refining and processing. For the upstream sector Eaton offers fluid conveyance and management, monitoring and communications, motion control and positioning systems and power distribution and control. "We know that tougher, more remote recovery environments increase costs and risks to people and reputation," Jon adds. "To succeed, you need customised solutions, engineering and design expertise and market-leading innovation."
For the downstream sector Eaton adds control and instrumentation, filtration, lighting and enclosure solutions to its range. "Whether you want to upgrade an aging refinery to process new crudes, decrease downtime, meet increased regulatory requirements or bring a new refinery online, you need advanced solutions that address your power management challenges," Jon concludes.
Visitors to the Eaton stand will be able to discuss their specific power management challenges and talk with industry experts from Eaton's well-known portfolio of innovative product ranges including Crouse-Hinds, Hernis, B-Line, MTL, MEDC, FHF and Gitiesse.
