Nuremberg, Germany/Austin, Texas/ USA. The Hart Communication Foundation celebrates its 20th anniversary in 2013. On the occasion of this anni- versary, member companies will invite existing and prospective users to a user event.The 20th Anniversary User Event will be held in the Field Communication Lounge (Hall 9, Stand D76) at Hannover Messe on Tuesday, April 9th from 16:30 to 20:30 hrs. The event will include a presentation on the history and the services provided by the Hart Communication Foundation and will be followed by a panel discussion.
The anniversary event is sponsored by Siemens and other Foundation member companies including ABB,
Azbil, Emerson Process Management, Endress+Hauser, Honeywell, MACTek, Microcyber, Pepperl+Fuchs, Pro- ComSol, Supcon, and Yokogawa.
Hart is a communication standard widely used in the process industry for field devices, allowing modulated industry standard digital signals to be superimposed over analog 4 to 20 mA signals. Analog communication of readings and simultaneous digital communication enables diagnostic, maintenance and process data from field devices to be transmitted to higher level systems. The Siemens process instrumentation portfolio includes a large number of products supporting the Hart Communication Protocol. All Hart devices can be easily and quickly commissioned using the Simatic PDM (Process Device Manager) for configuration and parameterization.
The Hart Communication Foundation (HCF) is an independent, international membership organization. Its task is to ensure the support of the Hart Communication Protocol technology and standards, as well as to promote its use. The Foundation is supported by a global membership of more than 280 companies. The mission of the Hart Communication Foundation is to provide worldwide support to the process automation industry and its member companies.
