During his company's traditional partner evening on the first day of the sps ipc drives trade fair in Nuremberg, Vice President EMEA & India Dennis Gallagher reported a successful 2016. Then joined Jan Treede, General Manager Kollmorgen Europe, in honoring two companies. The European title of "Partner of the Year 2016" went to the German company EAT GmbH from Freiburg, as well as to the British company Micromech Ltd from Braintree, northeast of London. Both companies are among the first European members of the "Certified Channel Partners", an exclusive group of distributors, who as system integrators, have a broad knowledge of applications and product, and who regularly put their teams through KOLLMORGEN trainingEAT - "Elektronische Antriebs-Technik GmbH" (electronic drive technology) from Freiburg is a good example of a successful partnership between a manufacturer and a systems integrator. KOLLMORGEN and EAT have been working together for more than 30 years. "We have a very in-depth knowledge of servo technology and automation, so together with KOLLMORGEN we are in a very good position to support our clients from the special machine construction sector on an engineering front", explained Christian Reinsch, technical director of EAT.
Richard Matthews, Director of Micromech, also sees the "Partner of the Year" award as representing a longstanding co-operation of trust, that is undoubtedly product-oriented and is increasingly developing into a solutions-focused alliance. "We are already looking forward to our next collaborative engineering projects" said Matthews, who is excited about the "Certified Channel Program", which will offer an excellent way to transfer knowledge between manufacturer and systems integrator.
