Olmec-UK To Show VP2-CR Code Reader At PPMA Show

Stand B51, PPMA Show, NEC, UK, 27-29 September, 2011Vision systems integrator, Olmec-UK will be showing its versatile new VP2-CR code reading system for standard and hi-speed character recognition and verification on labels at the PPMA Show. The VP2-CR provides a simple, graphical user interface using a touch screen controller to allow the system to be set up for any type of label in just 3 menu-driven steps. Live demonstrations of the VP2-CR can be seen on the Omron Electronics stand, B51, where visitors will be able to try it out for themselves. Experts from Olmec-UK will also be on hand to discuss all aspects of vision systems integration into manufacturing and processing lines and OEM equipment, from product inspection to tracking and traceability.
The VP2-CR offers fully validated character recognition, character verification and robust 2D data matrix handling and grading, and can be used for tasks ranging from simple verification through to GS1 and CIP13 conformance. Auto detection and extraction of the lot code, combined with filtering of background colours allows hundreds of label variants to be reduced to just a few format combinations for easy set-up and measurement.
