Sanner Group, a leading global healthcare packaging and medical device CDMO, has appointed Frank Bamberg as new Chief Operating Officer (COO). He joined the company on September 15, 2026.
Frank Bamberg brings more than 20 years of international experience in regulated manufacturing to his new role. He combines broad operational leadership with deep expertise in medical devices and combination products, spanning the full product lifecycle from R&D to commercial manufacturing. Throughout his career, he has focused on building strong, scalable operations and driving manufacturing readiness.
Before joining Sanner, Frank Bamberg served as Head of Primary Packaging and Medical Devices Product Care at CSL Behring. Prior to that, he held senior positions at Hoffmann-La Roche and Schott in Switzerland and the United States. He takes over from Heino Lennartz, who served as interim COO since autumn 2025, and will now return full-time to his role as Chairman of the Sanner Group.

“With his extensive experience in international manufacturing operations across the pharma, biotech, and medtech industries, Frank Bamberg is an excellent fit for Sanner,” says Stefan Verheyden, CEO of the Sanner Group. “He will play an important role in growing our pharmaceutical packaging production while also strengthening manufacturing readiness for our growing medical device CDMO business.”
Frank Bamberg adds: “I am very much looking forward to further developing Sanner’s international production network and ensuring consistently high quality across all locations. I see enormous potential and will be happy to help translate that potential into sustainable growth.”
