New Q4X from Banner Engineering has angled display for easy setup and viewingA rugged, versatile laser sensor designed for difficult distance-based applications over a range of 25-300 mm has been introduced by Banner Engineering (www.bannerengineering.com).
Applications include:
-€¢ Automotive
-€¢ Tire/rubber
-€¢ Materials Handling
-€¢ Packaging
-€¢ Quality Control
-€¢ Automation
-€¢ Lumber/timber
-€¢ Metalworking
-€¢ Pharmaceuticals
-€¢ Medical devices
-€¢ Plastics
-€¢ Printing
-€¢ Robotics
-€¢ Food processing
-€¢ Appliance Manufacturing
The new Q4X sensor reliably detects distance changes as small as 1 mm on such challenging targets as black objects on black backgrounds or reflective items. High excess gain and a 64-element imager combine to minimize errors in detection, counting and validating orientation.
Its versatility allows OEMs or end users to reduce inventory of different sensor types. Comprehensive menus are easy to navigate.
An angled four-digit, seven-segment LED display with convenient push-buttons allows intuitive setup and easy viewing. A bright output indicator provides high visibility of operation. Bipolar (PNP and NPN) outputs integrate the sensor with PLC or other control units.
Its stainless steel housing is rated IP67, IP68, IP69K and is Ecolab certified. Robust construction withstands impact, vibration, over-tightening and aggressive cleaning.
